Resumen:
The Constitution of the International Association for PlantTaxonomy (IAPT) lays out the provisions for the governance of theAssociation by its Council. Members of Council hold office for sixyears and are voted upon by the general membership. Members areeligible for re-election to the same office. Current Council membership can be seen at https://www.iaptglobal.org/council.Before the end of the six-year term, two nominations for each ofthe elected positions on the Executive Committee (President, VicePresident, Secretary General) and for each of the ten ordinary Councilpositions must be sought. The Nominating Committee, chaired by thePast-President, is responsible for soliciting nominations from the membership at large and from within Council. The final list of candidatesfor the ballot to the general membership is voted upon by Council.
