Resumen:
ABSTRACT. A new species, Panicum complanatum from southeastern Brazil is described and illustrated, including a key to distinguish it from similar taxa. Panicum complanatum belongs to Panicum subg. Panicum and is characterized mainly by the presence of a regular row of flattened, long hairs at the ventral base of the upper lemma and palea.
