Resumen:
Reduction of N-phenyl-2-methylmaleimide by Aspergillus spp. produces highly enantioselectively (R)-N-phenyl-2-methylsuccinimide. Aspergillus spp, Fusarium graminearum and Penicillium sp. possess a high enantioface recognition ability affording enantiomerically pure-(R,R)-N-phenyl-2,3- dimethylsuccinimide from N-pheny-2,3-dimethylmaleimide.
