Resumen:
Inonotus quercustris and I. texanus are recorded and described for the first time outside their known distirbutional range in the USA. They were found in the subxerophytic to xerophytic Chaco phytogeographical Province in Central W and NW Argentina, growing on Lithraea ternifolia (Anacardiaceae) and Acacia caven (Fabaceae), and Acacia sp., Prosopis sp.(Fabaceae) and Schinopsis quebracho-colorado (Anacardiaceae), respectively.
