The ecosystem services perspective is strongly emerging as a comprehensive platform to analyze environmental problems in water basin around the world. In this presentation, I review the application of this perspective to three specific analyses in patagonia: Climate change and water yield in the Chubut watershed, Sediment and nutrient retention in the lower Chubut River and the analysis of recreation in different watersheds of Patagonia.
