Redesign of a stimulation web lab for older people LABPSI according to final users requirements

What is LABPSI: LABPSI is a virtual psychological laboratory which has twowell-defined sections, one for grade Psychology students (also inEnglish) and another for the general community. Inside the user willfind a diversity of cognitive exercises.The LABPSI was initially created by Psychology professors to respondto a great demand of early career students of the Faculty ofPsychology of the National University of Mar del Plata (Vivas, Vivas,Kogan & Acuña, 2016). But during the pandemic there was a greatdemand for the creation of virtual cognitive exercises for the elderlyby different institutions that work with dementia and MCI subjects.Recently, we have carried out a redesign of the LABPSI based on theuser experience with the aim of facilitating its use for older peoplewith and without cognitive impairment.This redesign was based on the concept of User Experience definedas any interaction between the person and a technological product(Norman & Nielsen, 2003). It is based on promoting a design focusedon the needs of end users, contemplating the experiences providedand the emotions generated. It also includes the concept of usability.Objective: Modify the LABPSI´s interface to promote the ease of use of the web lab for older people with and without cognitive impairment.
