Resumen:
The gel-fluid thermal phase transition in lipid membranes is strongly linked to energetic lateral interactions between adjacent lipids. The vast majority of physico-mathematical models consider pairwise-additive interactions. However in many systems this is the exception rather than the rule. In this work we are going to consider many-body interactions, where the energy of a lipid pair, say gel-fluid, will depend on the distribution of its first neighbors. For this we are going to define a non-additive control parameter, with which we will quantify the value of the energies in the many-body or non-additive regime. To study the applicability of the model presented, Monte Carlo simulation resultswill be analyzed in the grand canonical ensemble. Behavior of the non-additive regime of various parameters such as enthalpy, heat capacity, energy by sites, etc. will be analyzed.
