Resumen:
In this paper we propose a new method based on adjoint systems for the estimation of errors induced by perturbations in the initial conditions of DAEs. With this method an estimation of the error is obtained with a methodology which is independent of the perturbations, facilitating the estimation of errors for systems of equations with a large number of parameters. In addition, we propose an extension of the method based on the use of estimation functions that allows transforming the original adjoint system into an algebraic system, making it suitable for the application of many efficient numerical methods.
