Resumen:
This paper reports experimental data from laboratory scale fixed bed reactors containing a couple system of reforming catalyst HDL NiMgAl and CaO as sorbent. The distribution of catalyst/adsorbent beds in the reactor has significant effects on reaction/separation performance. The number of catalyst-adsorbent layers has an important impact on the purity of hydrogen. Particularly, the well mixed configuration increases sharply hydrogen purity. The continuous sorption-enhanced steam reforming process would simplify the production of high purity hydrogen since the WGS reactor unit would not be necessary in the purification train.
