Resumen:
?Delay or Disruption Tolerant Network (DTN) architecturehas become a promising solution for challenged environmentswhere communications cannot be assumed persistent. Inparticular, if node dynamics can be predicted like in space-bornenetworks, routing schemes such as Merugu?s Floyd Warshsall(MFW) and Contact Graph Routing (CGR) can take advantageof the a priori knowledge of the DTN topology. In this workwe compare and leverage these popular schemes and proposeCache-CGR: a computationally efficient version of CGR thatreduce processing requirements while preserving its features suchas local congestion avoidance. We demonstrate the performancegain of C-CGR both by means of simulation and an on-boardcomputer test-bench with Interplanetary Overlay Network (ION)DTN implementation. Finally, we discuss CGR open issues andlay the foundations for future research on DTN global congestionavoidance mechanisms.
