Resumen:
The forage legume Lotustenuis is an appealing alternative to meet the needs for cattle productionin the Flooding Pampa region, Argentina. The use of chemical compounds foragriculture practices, in addition to the removal of native vegetation, eventually may change the diversity of soil microbial  components such asbacterial and fungal communities. To examine the effect of  L.tenuis promotion with herbicides on the structure of soil bacetrial as wellas fungal communities , we studied three different rangeland sites of theFlooding Pampa region. At each site, two paddocks were compared: one managed topromote the forage legume L. tenuis, and the other lacking of management history and hence, covered by naturalgrasses.  We applied  454-FLX pyrosequencing technology of the V4region of the 16S rRNA gene (bacteria) and also the internal transcribed spacerregión ITS1-ITS2 (Fungi), on genomic DNA extracted from soil samples. Ourresults suggest a differential response between communities: while  5-6 years of land use with L. tenuis promotion modify the structureof soil fungal community, we did not find differences among treatments whensoil bacterial communities were analyzed.
