Sentimiento de sobrecarga del cuidador informal según la cualidad del vínculo establecido con el paciente demente

Se siguieron los pasos del esquema descriptivo–correlacional de corte transversal. El Cuestionario de Datos  Generales y el “Caregiver Burden Interview” de Zarit fueron administrados a  200 cuidadores. Los resultados indican que el grupo se caracterizó por tener un “muy buen y buen vínculo” con el familiar enfermo antes (83%) y después (59%) de la enfermedad. En los que cambio la relación a partir de la enfermedad, el mayor porcentaje respondió haberlo hecho en forma desfavorable (47%). Según el ANOVA  realizado, se hallaron diferencias significativas en el sentimiento de sobrecarga entre el grupo “a”, que consideró la calidad del vínculo establecido  entre ambos de “Muy Malo/Malo/Regular” y el grupo “b” que lo calificó como “Bueno”; y de igual modo, entre el grupo “a” y el grupo “c”, el cual consideró la calidad del vínculo como “Muy bueno”. La tendencia de los datos indica que cuanto mejor es la calidad del vínculo, menor intensidad en este sentimiento. Palabras claves: Cuidador Informal  Sobrecarga    Vínculo  Demencia. Abstract "INFORMAL CAREGIVER BURDEN ACCORDING TO THE QUALITY OF THE RELATIONSHIP  ESTABLISHED WITH DEMENTIAL PATIENTS' This study examines whether the quality of the link "informal caregiver-patient" shall be amended after the outbreak of the disease and whether the quality of the link affects the sense of burden experienced by the caregiver.
