The influence of age and education on performance in five of Thurstones primary mental abilities, was analyzed. Subjects were 16, 17 and 18 years of age, and the types of education were humanistic and technical. The factorial stability of Thurstones PMA was verified by comparing results obtained in an Argentina and a U.S.A. sample. It was found that type of education and age affects differentially performance in some of the PMA tests.
