Resumen:
Urotocus fusiformis (McIntosh, 1935) is reported parasitizing rectum of Pterotochos tarnii (Rhinocryptidae) a native bird from Argentinian Patagonian cold temperate forest. Specimens were mounted in toto and morphometric data are given. Morphology and dimensions of these specimens conform to the original description. This is the first record for this host and for Argentina.
