Resumen:
We report here the first record of Palaeomohria patagonica from different levels in the Mata Amarilla Formation, Austral-Magallanes Basin, Southern Patagonia. The cicatricose spores are described, and the affinity within Anemiaceae is discussed in the light of the latest phylogenetic studies. Base on morphological characters in the spore muri, the genus may fit within the Mohria and Anemiorrhiza clades, basal groups within extant Anemiaceae. This record extends the stratigraphic range for Palaeomohria into the Cenomanian and increases the taxonomic richness of family Anemiaceae in the Upper Cretaceous of Patagonia.
