Resumen:
Community implies the inclusion of diversity and social interaction in a context of diversity. The quality of life in the community is a specificity of the quality of life in general, in which we can identify the existence of inequalities in quality of life. In this chapter we will refer to the spatial dimension of the quality of community life, including social inequalities, since it is in the social space where spatial inequalities become manifest and observable. The unequal conditions of quality of life can be studied from a perspective that includes the geography of social justice and the concept of the “fair city” that incorporates equity, democracy, and diversity. In this way, we propose to use a socio-spatial theoretical lens, which could highlight unfair quality of life conditions within and between communities and trigger political responses towards more equitable social inclusion processes in line with Sustainable Development Goal 10.
