Resumen:
The Children´s Geographies (Ortiz Guitart 2007, Holloway 2014), should be understood as a recent intellectual debate field about children, youth, adults and families. In this line it is central to pay special attention to the relationships and interactions among groups, as they appear, being configured and transformed in various socio-spatial contexts. Children are social actors who interact with other actors and social groups and with the geographical space, they are recognized as active structural components in social life, released from their subordinate and projected position (Gaitan Muñoz 2006). While it is true that the field has roots throughout the 1960s-1970s, it grew in critical mass during the 1990s, particularly within the framework of the Social and Cultural Geography of the Anglo-Saxon world, from where the greatest contributions emerged (Ortiz Guitart 2007). The 1990s turnaround refers to researching not about children but for and with children.
