Resumen:
A multiperiod mathematical program is formulated with the aim of minimizing investment and operating costs of energy sources, so as to meet energy demands in Argentina. The main purpose is to replace fossil fuels used in transportation and electricity generation by renewable alternatives: biodiesel and bioethanolfor transportation; wind turbines, hydrokinetic turbines and nuclear plants to produce electricity, and solar energy collectors for heating residential and commercial facilities. The results obtained show an alternative composition of Argentina’s energy matrix for the next 20 years
