Resumen:
A generalization of the pure site and pure bond percolationproblems in which pairs of nearest neighbor sites (site dimers)and linear pairs of nearest neighbor bonds (bond dimers) areindependently occupied at random on a square lattice is studied.Wecalled this model as dimer site-bond percolation. Motivated byconsiderations of cluster connectivity,we have used two distinctschemes (denoted as S n B and S U B )for dimer site-bondpercolation.In S n B (S U B ),two points are said to be connectedif a sequence of occupied sites and (or bonds joins them. By usingfinite-size scaling theory, data from S n B and S U B are analyzedin order to determine i) the phase boundary between thepercolating and non- percolating regions and ii) the numericalvalues of the critical exponents of the phase transition occurringin the system. The results obtained are discussed in comparisonwith the corresponding ones for classical monomer site-bondpercolation.
