Resumen:
L-Dopa plus peripheral inhibitors of aromatic L-amino acid decarboxylase (AADC) is the treatment intended to alleviate the motor symptoms of Parkinson?s disease (PD). However, in patients this chronic treatment has been described to alter the secretion of ACTH, probably generating an inadequate neuroendocrine stress response. In the present research, we aimed to understand the actions of L-Dopa in the corticotroph function.
