Acyl-CoA synthetase 4 (ACSL4)enzyme expression in the brain has been described. Although therole of ACSL4 in neurons and in the development of the nervoussystem has been studied, nothing had been described about itsrole in neurosteroidogenesis and its regulation in glia cells.
