As part of the taxonomic revision of thefamily Vitaceae for the Argentinean Flora, a new combination,Clematicissus pruinata (Weinm.) C. A. Zanotti& A. M. Panizza, is established as the correct name forthe taxon known up to now as C. simsiana (Roem. &Schult.) Lombardi.
