Resumen:
As the result of Scientific expeditions to Vega, James Ross and Seymour Islands, Antarctic Peninsula, identifiable remains of mosasaurs were recovered from the Campanian Santa Marta Formation and the Campanian-Maastrichtian Lopez de Bertodano Formation. Initial identifications suggest that at least five mosasaur taxa existed in Antarctica. All the mosasaurs from Antarctica, which can be identified at generic level, appear to have a relatively cosmopolitan distribution, with the possible exception of  Moanasaurus. This distribution was probably facilitated by rather close positions of continental masses and connecting marine corridors during the lastest Cretaceous.
