Resumen:
The distal end of what appears to be the metatarsal of a hadrosaur was discovered on Seymour Island, Antarctic Peninsula.  This specimen was registered at the Museo de La Plata as MLP 96-1-6-2, and closely resembles the distal end of an ornithischian metatarsal. Between the hadrosaurs and ceratopsids, it is clear that MLP 96-1-6-2 is far more likely to be allied with the former than the latter. Case et al.1998, record the presence of a hadrosaur tooth on nearby Vega Island. The existence of such a lozenge-shape tooth so characteristic of hadrosaurs clearly establishes their formere presence in the Antarctic Peninsular area and supports the tentative allocation on MLP 96-1-6-2 to the hadrosaurs.
