Resumen:
Shallow marine Upper Cretaceous-Tertiary beds exposed in the Cerros Bayos area, La Pampa province, provide an excellent opportunity for a combined sedimentological-paleoecological analysis. The depositional paleoenvironments of this sequence were interpreted besides three progradational cycles were recognized.
