Resumen:
The effects of the partial substitution of Fe by Mn on the crystallization process and on the magnetic properties in a melt spun Fe68.5 Mn5 Si13.5 B9 Cu Nb3 alloy have been analyzed. The crystallization process and structure after devitrification of the amorphous state were analyzed by Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC), Thermogravimetry analysis (TGA) and X-ray diffractometry.A fine nanocrystalline structure, composed of BCC-Fe rich nanograinssurrounded by the residual amorphous phase, is obtained after thermal treatments at 550–600 1C.The temperature dependence of the magnetic properties (i.e. magnetic permeability) is analyzed taking into account the main changes in both magnetic phases upon annealing.
