Cosmic Ray Solar Modulation Studies at the Pierre Auger Observatory

Since data-taking began in January 2004,the Pierre Auger Observatory has been recording lowenergy threshold rates for the self-calibration of itssurface detectors. After atmospheric corrections areapplied, solar modulation and transient events areobserved. In this study, we present an analysis of theavailable data, with special emphasis on the observationof Forbush Decreases. A strong correlation withneutron monitor rates is found. The high total countrates allow us to determine temporal variations ofsolar origin with high accuracy.
