Resumen:
We study the possibility to trigger anisotropic electronic states from the isotropic and weakly correlated phase. Using bosonization and RG arguments we study the combined effect of fermionic interactions and band curvature. In particular, we study in some detail the phase diagram for the isotropic/nematic/hexatic quantum phase transition generated by Pomeranchuck instabilities( D.\ G.\ Barci and L.\ E.\ Oxman, Phys.\ Rev.\ B67), 205108, (2003).. We have studied collective modes as well as fermionic one particle excitations in these new electronic phases. Fermi liquid properties of the isotropic phase break down when the nematic transition is reached. Also, we definitely show how non-Fermi liquid behavior sets up in the deep nematic phase, even considering local interaction potentials, supporting previous conjectures(Vadim Oganesyan,et. al.), Phys.\ Rev.\ B 64, 195109 (2001).. Wide Goldstone mode fluctuations are at the stem of this mechanism.
