We propose a model for response time of perceptual learning process. A group of people is extensively trained in a visual search task. The visual search task involves finding a triangle (target) within an array of distracters. We noticed that the mean response time when target is seen decreases with training sessions, while it remains constant if target is not seen. Furthermore response time doesn´t have the same dependence for any triangle position in the matrix in all the sessions. Therefore, we propose a mixed model where some of the positions are processed in parallel and others serially. In consequence, response time is constant for those positions that are processed in parallel and it increases linearly for serially processed positions
