Resumen:
The Hyperpolarization-activated Cyclic Nucleotide-gated (HCN) channels are involved in many neuron-level functions, which include regulation of resting membrane potential (RMP), selective filtering for coincident inputs, modulation of intrinsic cellular frequency characteristics and regulation of membrane resistance. Other ion channels that are activated at similar potentials such as, delayed-rectifier M-type K+ channels (KV7) and CaV3 (T-type) Ca2+ channels can indirectly affect the activation of HCN channels through modulation of membranepotential and resistance, and vice versa.
