Resumen:
In this work we present an optical architecture whichmakes possible to prepare and characterize tomograph-ically quantum states in a high dimensional Hilbertspace. Both, state preparation and tomographic pro-cess, are carried out by means of liquid crystal displays,working as pure phase spatial light modulators. In thefi rst device, by means of an appropriate codifi cation,it is possible generate spatial qudits through slit statesthat discretize the transversal moment of incident pho-tons. Th e achieved complex modulation allows to syn-thesize arbitrary states, either pure or with diff erentdegrees of purity, in a controlled and effi cient way. Asecond modulator is used for the implementation of thetomographic process by projective measurements onarbitrary bases, like MUBs. Th e results show that thisdevice, composed by few optical elements, allows pre-paring and measuring quantum states of dimension D ≥ 2 with high fi delity.
