Resumen:
Wepresentthedesignandtheexperimentalimplementationofanewimagingset-up,basedonLiquid Crystal technology,abletoobtainsuper-resolvedpolarimetricimagesofpolarimetricsampleswhenthe resolution isdetectorlimited.Theproposedset-upisacombinationoftwomodules.Oneofthemisan imaging Stokespolarimeter,basedonFerroelectricLiquidCrystalcells,whichisusedtoanalyzethe polarization spatialdistributionofanincidentbeam.Theothermoduleisusedtoobtainhighresolved intensity imagesofthesampleinanopticalsystemwhoseresolutionismainlylimitedbytheCCDpixel geometry.ItcontainsacalibratedParallelAlignedLiquidCrystalonSilicondisplayemployedtointroduce controlled linearphases.Asaresult,asetofdifferentlowresolvedintensityimageswithsub-pixel displacements arecapturedbytheCCD.Byproperlycombiningtheseimagesandafterapplyingade- convolutionprocess,asuper-resolvedintensityimageoftheobjectisobtained.Finally,thecombination of thetwodifferentopticalmodulespermitstoemploysuper-resolvedimagesduringthepolarimetric data reductioncalculation,leadingtoa final polarizationimagewithenhancedspatialresolution.The proposed opticalset-upperformanceisimplementedandexperimentallyvalidatedbyprovidingsuper- resolvedimagesofanamplituderesolutiontestandabirefringentresolutiontest.Asignificant im- provementinthespatialresolution(byafactorof1.4)oftheobtainedpolarimetricimages,incom- parison withtheimagesobtainedwiththeregularimagingsystem,isclearlyobservedwhenapplying our proposedtechnique.
