Resumen:
An increasing amount of reports indicate that epigenetic regulations are important for long term memory consolidation. In particular, especial attention has been paid to acetylation of histones as a chromatin modifier and gene transcription regulator. Several HDAC inhibitors used on memory consolidation affect both nuclear and cytoplasmatic HDAC. While many reports describe the effect of HDAC inhibitors on histone acetylation and memory, few focus their research on cytoskeleton and synaptic composition effects. With Tubastatin A, that has its main inhibitory effect on HDAC 6, we aim to evaluate the role cytoplasmatic protein acetylation on memory consolidation.
