Resumen:
Metal nanoparticles prepared by chemical methods are the focus of this article. The size andmorphology of gold particles are controlled by the surface charge provided by adsorbed citrate ions.Gold nanoparticles in the 10-100 nm range with tunable optical properties result from controlling thesurface charge during nanoparticle growth. Bimetallic and metal silicon dioxide core shellnanoparticles are also being studied as means for passivation of reactive metals from corrosion.Keywords: Core-shell nanostructures, magnetic nanoparticles, inkjet printing.
