Resumen:
We built an optical system designed to conduct single molecule fluorescence and Ramanspectroscopy studies with sub-micrometer resolution. By using a confocal optical system, incombination with a piezoelectric driven scanning stage, and time correlated single photon countingwe can detect and time-resolve fluorescence from single molecules in the ns and millisecond timeregimes. An optical resolution of 220 nm was measured using single molecules as a point source.
