Resumen:
The systematic assignment of Arthrodytes (Aves, Spheniscidae) from the San Julian Formation (Late Eocene? - Early Oligocene) in the Santa Cruz Province, Argentina, is discussed. A revision of the materials included in the Paraptenodytinae is also given. As a consequence, Arthrodytes is here removed from the Subfamily Anthropornithinae and assigned to Paraptenodytinae.
