Resumen:
The use of metallic bone implants requires surface modification to improve the material properties, e.g., by using composite polymeric coatings. Electrospinning technique is highly recommended because the nanofiber structure mimics the extracellular matrix. Poly(ε-caprolactone) (PCL) is biocompatible and biodegradable, and bioglass (BG) can be included in the fibers providing osteogenesis and angiogenesis features.
