Resumen:
The structure of the electrical double layer at the mercury/solution interphasehas been the subject of a great deal of work [1-3]. Since the work of Watts-Tobinmost of the efforts directed to explain the charge dependence of the inner layercapacitance were based on the idea of dipole orientation in the interphasial field Itwas not until recently that the possibility that the metal electrons at the surface(jcllium models and surface electrons relaxation) could contribute to the totalpotential drop was recognized [4]. In this work we propose a semicmpirical approach to ascertain the contribution of the metal electrons to the total inncr ltyercapacitance.
