Comparison of different methods for vinasses treatment from the bioethanol industry based on LCA

This paper presents a comparative study of the environmental impact of the main waste of the sugar-alcohol industry, vinasses, considering three options for treatment: field fertigation, anaerobic digestion in UASB reactors and concentration (60%) for combustion in natural gas boilers, using in each case the technique of Life-Cycle Analysis (LCA).
