In this work, a combined framework, which offers the advantages of simulation and optimization, is proposed as a contribution to the field of Supply Chain Management (SCM). The methodology developed allows for the explicit consideration of environmental criteria, thus providing a way to further explore the trade-offs upon which decision-making should be based. The results so far obtained are very promising.
