Resumen:
By 1920 Lugones reached the summit of his fame as a public intellectual engaged in social and political debates. A celebrated pundit and cultural oracle for various purposes, it is no wonder that he got himself an invitation from the Student?s Union of the FCEFyN to deliver a lecture on the topic of the relationships between geometrical intuition and physical concepts. The conference, which took place on August 14, was published a year later as The Size of Space. An Essay on Psychological Mathematics (El tamaño del espacio. Un ensayo de psicología matemática).Despite its inconsistencies and shortcomings, The Size of Space is as a rule extolled by local historians of literature as a serious effort ? a standard reference work mentions it as an accomplished presentation of Einstein?s theories, which is supposed to manifests a command of the subject.
