Paspalum pubiflorum and P. quadrifarium are reported for the first time for California. New records are also documented for P. vaginatum,which is invasive in estuarine wetland habitats. We summarize the current naturalized status, habitats occupied, and regions whererecently introduced species of Paspalum have been observed or might become invasive in California. We also provide a key to the identificationof Paspalum species known to occur in the State.
