Malaria is one of the most widespread parasitic diseases in III World. It is caused by invasion of protozoan parasites of Plasmodium species into the human body (1). Many drugs have been used against this disease, being currently Artemisinin (ART) one of the most selective drug. We showed the mutagenicity of this drug in previous studies (2). In order to improve biodisponibility and to reduce intrinsic toxicity, we assayed toxicological studies in vivo with ART entrapped into liposomes.
