Resumen:
The aim of this work was to determine if foliar applications of fungicides to control leaf and capitulum  diseases of sunflower affect the native arbuscular mycorrhizal (MA) colonization of the crop. Mycorrhizal  colonization of sunflowers (cv. Payé, KWS y Paraíso 30, Nidera S.A.) which were fumigated or not, were  evaluated during two-year field experiment. Periodical leaf application of the fungicides Duett® (Basf,  active  substance Carbendazim+Epoxiconazole) and Amistar® (Syngenta, active substance Azoxistrobina) increased  MA colonization of the sunflower crops. This could be consequence of the reduction of antagonistic  microorganisms to MA fungi for the fungicides application. The decrease of fitoparasitic fungus increases the  sugar availability on host roots, and thus the mycorrhization could be favored. Results shown that the  application of the active substances evaluated to the sunflower production, would not affect the indigenous MA  colonization.
