Resumen:
Some transition metal oxides , like ZrO2, TiO2 and Fe2O3, are known to develop "superacidity" upon doping with  polyoxo and they have extensively studied because of their good activity for alkane activation specially at low temperatures.  The literature is plentyful of data on the application of single catalysts to some reacting systems.  However little is known about the relative ranking of the superacid family members in terms of activity and selectivity on a comprehensive basis that includes key elementary reactions like branching, ring opening, cracking, etc.  Furthermore little is known about the role of each support and acidity promoter on the catalytic performance.  Some results of such a study are presentes here.
