Muscle of 64 Notothenia coriiceps specimens caught at Potter Cove, South Shetland Islands, Antarctica from March 1988 to March 1989 was analyzed for crude protein and total mineral contents. The fish chemical components fluctuated in annual cycle, depending on periods related to the reproductive cycle, maturity stage and to the interaction between reproductive periods and sex of specimens
