This is the third volume of the fourth edition of Thorpand Covich?s Freshwater Invertebrates (T&C IV), andthe first to focus on a bioregion outside the Nearctic.Information on the ecology and general biology of thegroups can be found in Volume I (Ecology and GeneralBiology, edited by Thorp & Rogers, 2015), the companiontext for the current and all remaining books in thisseries. All taxonomic volumes are expected to consist ofan introductory chapter followed by chapters on differenttaxonomic groups (phyla, class, orders, or smaller levels),depending on the nature of the volume. Some chaptersin the current volume are very small and others arequite large, such as coverage of all Trichoptera inChapter 10.
