Nowadays people are more often exposed to low dose(LD) ionizingradiation (IR). Knowledge on the health risks associated with expo-sures to ionizing radiation above 100 mGy is quite well established,while LD risks are inferred from higher level exposure by a linearnon-threshold (LNT) model, the estimation of long-term chronic sto-chastic radiation health effects (such as cancer) by LNT extrapo-lations for LD-rates (
