Resumen:
PALYNOLOGICAL STUDY OF ASTERACEAE (ANGIOSPERMS) PRESENT IN HONEYS OF ENTRE RIOS PROVINCE, ARGENTINA. The present paper describes the pollen morphology of some taxa of Asteraceae in order to define their diagnostic characters which allow their specific reconognition in honeys of the region. With this purpose, the following taxa which commonly conform monofloral local honey were selected: Baccharis dracunculifolia DC., B. salicifolia (Ruiz et Pav.) Pers., B. punctulata DC., Gaillardia megapotamica (Spr.) Baker, Senecio grisebachii Baker, S. madagascariensis Poiret, and Solidago chilensis Meyen. The samples were processed according to Erdtman acetolitic technique and observed with light microscopy (LM) and scaning electron microscopy (SEM). Even though the pollen grains presented great similarity, their differentiation was possible. A key is presented including ornamentation and apertural features observed with LM and the quantitative measurement of pollen grains.
