Abstract: ENVIRONMENTAL CHARACTERIZATION OF THE ARROYO LAS CONCHAS BASIN,PROVINCE OF ENTRE RÍOS. The present paper summarizes environmental features of Arroyo LasConchas basin (Entre Ríos, Argentina), obtained through bibliography revision, field work, remote sensing andgeoprocessing tools. Characterization of physical (geology and soils) and natural vegetation status is done. Itwas found that natural vegetation covers less than the 13 percents of the total area. This situation should beconsidered at future studies jointly with other anthropic variables, for the evaluation of variables that affectsnatural resources conditions over the basin.
